Post Natal Yoga
Coming soon : The Postnatal Yoga Program is a set of classes designed to speed up the recovery and healing process after pregnancy and birth. It is a wonderful combination of classes to recharge your energy levels, to stretch, strengthen and relax your body in a safe way. All the things you need when looking after a newborn! The focus lies on stabilising the abdominal and pelvic floor areas, opening the chest area and releasing tensions in shoulders and neck. There is even a special class designed especially for the early postnatal period.
Props: It is recommended that you have a blanket and a bolster handy (or any other big cushion/rolled up blanket).
Special note: Although this program is designed to provide a safe yoga practice after the birth of your baby, we strongly recommend that you check with your obstetrician or midwife for their medical advice relating to your unique situation and body. It is recommended to wait with the practice until 6 weeks after birth of your baby if you had a natural birth and 12 weeks if you had C-section. Only the early postnatal class is suitable for the time beforehand (after checking in with your ob). Always listen to your body and rest when you need to. Those who practice Mellow programs do so at their own risk.
